"As a session vocal group the Cookies backed Connie Francis, Tony Orlando, Neil Sedaka and more for publishers Aldon Music, a Brill Building company. Hooking up with songwriters turned producers Carole King and Gerry Goffin, the Cookies became hit makers in their own right.
Included here are all the cuts they made as The Cookies plus further cuts recorded under different names and solo during that highly prolific period. This is the first time so many of these alter egos and extras have been collected in one place.
The Cookies are legendary because they sang backing on all time classic The Locomotion and cut the first versions of Chains and I’m Into Something Good, famously covered by the respective Beatles and Herman's Hermits. In addition they scored US top 20 hits themselves with Chains and Don’t Say Nothin’ Bad About My Baby".
